Yoga For Everyone
Saturday, 2 - 4:30 pmÂ
All ages, shapes and sizes / Beginner to Advanced welcome!
In this class you will enjoy a lovely yoga practice laced with beautiful flowing vinyasa which will accommodate all levels of practice.
There will be a mindful balance of challenging and softer aspects of yoga practice. This session will follow a sustainable guide to covering each category of asana practice.
This session will slowly conclude with pranayama / yoga kriya’s and a lovely guided deep relaxation. Â
The (less experienced) students or those with limited strength and flexibility will be given suggestions for alternative ways to modify challenging yoga poses along with the use of yoga props.
While the (more advanced) students will have the option to try safe and practical methods to achieve the more challenge asana and how to use vinyasa with both soft and gentle or more challenging yoga styles.Â
EACHÂ SESSION WILL REFLECT:
A balanced yoga asana session) including:
Warm-ups, standing asana, leg stretches, backbends, and spinal twist arm balancing, pranayama, eye exercises and a lovey guided deep relaxation.
Doug will save some time for a question and answer session.
Yoga for Teachers
Sunday, 2 – 4:30 pmÂ
In this class you will refresh your ability to teach yoga, learn new techniques and develop greater self-confidence. The lessons will include practical and sustainable methods for yourself and your students.
This format will be: (A balanced combination of two aspects):
- A guided yoga practice session
- Woven into Enhanced Teaching Skills
You will learn the balance of (How to teach):Â
- The physical and technical aspects of yoga.
- Along with the mental aspects of teaching and practicing yoga.
 This teacher’s session will include:
- Discussion on the benefits of Healthy diet and nutrition
- Self-help and cross training
- Avoiding and overcoming injury
- Safe and practical Yoga Adjustments
Doug will save some time for a question and answer session.

Progressive Vinyasa Flow
Tuesday, 6 – 8:30 pm
In this workshop, you will be delighted to practice a balanced Yoga routine, with a fun and yet invigorating asana progression. A beautiful mix of asana laced together with a combination of familiar and innovative vinyasa techniques. Class ends with pranayama and a wonderful guided deep relaxation.
All levels are welcome, but some yoga experience is recommended. You will love this yoga session! Doug is a master yoga teacher, philosopher, poet and dedicated health advocate. He has incorporated influences from several different yoga systems along with his passion for nutrition and the environment to develop his unique approach. Ashtanga Yoga For Everybody
Saturday, 9 - 11:30 am
This class is designed to make Ashtanga Yoga acceptable for all levels of practice – beginner thru advanced. Modifications are given for beginners along with suggestions for the more advanced student. Afterward, Doug will talk about early history of Ashtanga Yoga in the U.S. and pioneering vinyasa yoga.
Soft Style / Hatha Yoga
Saturday, 1:30Â - 4 pm
In this class we will practice a variety of asana – using a (self-love more restorative approach) with gentle vinyasa and a mindful progressive flow. Some techniques of Yin Yoga will be laced into very gentle and mindful vinyasa flow. Afterward Doug will talk about Avoiding and Overcoming Injury. This is a very beneficial topic in today’s yoga society and will be addressed openly, giving suggestions and solutions for common problems.
Fluid Power Yoga
Sunday, 9 - 11:30 am
This inspiring arrangement of asanas, are laced together with very smooth vinyasa transitions. The class outline will represent a holistic and very balanced routine, with using a variety of poses. You will enjoy the energy, achieve a variety of new poses and move with fluid power. When finished, drift into a blissful deep relaxation followed by a guided meditation.
Mastering the Secrets of Yoga Flow
Sunday, 1:30-4Â pm
The main focus of this class is centered on fluid movements of vinyasa and how to expand this philosophy to create flow in your daily life – a variety of yoga postures – both easy and challenging will be used. Explanation will be made as to how the fluid energy lines of vinyasa in your yoga practice can affect your daily life in a positive way. A connection is made to help create awareness of the conscious flow in your daily life using the philosophy of vinyasa to relate to the energy in all aspects of your life.

Safety and Joy with Inversions and Balancing

Although, as with everything in life we should not just follow blindly the foot prints of left in the sands of time. Yoga is about awareness and in this class you will learn how to enjoy the best aspects of yoga practice and at the same time avoiding and overcoming injury in yoga and all other aspects of life.
Unveiling ~ Healing Values of Yoga Kriyas

This will be a Lecture and a Practice.
(A) - YOGA KRIYAS are basically (Internal and External) cleansing techniques for the body and mind. The whole planet earth and all life that prevails on earth – take in energy and get rid of waste. This is woven into the cycle of life. All planets, and galaxies take in energy and get rid of waste. The Human body takes in energy and gets rid if waste and so do all other life forms. In this class you will try some easy to achieve Yoga Kriya’s and learn about other useful methods to cleanse the body and mind
(B) – MEDITATION FOR RELAXATION AND MENTAL CLARITY
Yoga Life Stories of Travel, Adventure and Self-discovery
Sunday, 1 - 3:30 pm
In this class you will hear (true life) yoga stories laced with adventure and personal growth of yoga practice. These stories begin from a time when yoga was not so popular up until today when yoga practice is as common as eating and breathing.

I secure private modern housing and for the yoga studio practice.
You could have your own room - or share with one other.
This (semi-private) retreat will be (limited to no more than 10 Guests).
So you will have more personal attention - with the yoga classes and with all other daily activities.Â
I will be the (yoga teacher and teach at every session).
In addition l will have a (2nd yoga teacher, as my assistant). This allows for variety and more personal attention.Â
Since it is a retreat everything is optional -Â
You can do more or less...
Basic Daily Schedule
Morning: 7- 7:30 am Juice, herbal tea or coffee.
Morning Yoga session: 7:30 - 9:00 amÂ
Then healthy smoothie (and or) to-go snacks - nutritional bars, etc.Â
Daily Activities:Â 10 am - 1 pm
Included but Optional / Activities Include:
(Guided) - Hiking, Biking, Paddle boarding, and swimming in rivers, lakes and springs.
Extra Activities and Services:
(For additional Fee) Private Yoga Session / Massage / Scenic Boat rides / Water skiingÂ
Lunch: 1 - 2 pm
Sometimes a picnic lunch - if we do a longer hike and stay out for the lunch.
Free time:Â 2- 4 pm (Or as long as you like since it is a retreat)
Afternoon Yoga session:Â 4 - 5:30 pm
Dinner:Â 7 - 8:30 pmÂ
There are always healthy drinks available; Smoothies, juices, herbal teas - coffee
Once during the week - we will go out on the town for entertainment and dinner.
If you want to be independent of the group - you can rent your own car and drive up from Reno, NV airport (1 hour drive).
